Carola grew up playing tennis with her family on clay courts in the Netherlands. After some years off she started playing USTA competitions in the USA and made it to Nationals with her 4.0 team in 2015. Since then, she has competed as a USTA 4.5 player in singles, doubles and 9.0 mixed.

 

Carola has a master's degree in education with a counseling and teaching certificate. During her consulting years, Carola founded DigiGirlz camp for Microsoft, a now worldwide high-tech program for girls. Carola is a mixed media artist, enjoys her horses, loves water, snow skiing, hiking, and working in her 800 sq ft greenhouse (aquaponics) and traveling the world. She has been married for 30 years and has two lovely daughters.
